Joyous Greetings

Inspiration Post by Collette

Collette here ... It's my turn for an inspiration post for November, with the theme being Christmas.  I used papers from the newer Holiday paper pack called Christmas Ice.  Here's a preview of the whole pack of papers:

I used the white on white background with words all over, going every which way for the base.  I then used the white on white snowflake paper for the strips.  Stampin Up's Pool Party was used for the mats, card base, and "Joy" (cut from my Cricut).

The image is from Saturated Canary called Spritz, that was colored with Copics and then die cut using one of the Nestabilities dies.  While it was still in the die, I sponged Pool Party around the edge to give a faux frame.  I sponged the edges of the papers and the letters with the same.  Finished off with a white ribbon.

I love the soft feel of this card, it's very soothing.  I hope you like it as well.

Check out the Bearly Mine Design for our November Challenge:  Christmas/Holiday.

Also, be sure to scroll through the other Inspiration Posts left by the other members of the Design Team.  There will be a new one posted every couple of days.

If you'd like to see more details regarding this card,
please feel free to visit my blog, Heaven Sent For You.
Thanks, Collette

Inspirational Post by Collette

Bearly Mine Designs' October Inspiration
Today is my turn to give you a little bit of inspiration

HAPPY HAUNTINGS!

This card's background  features the designer paper from the Halloween Fantasy and Mini Dots paper packs that you can get at the Bearly Mine Designs Store.

The image is a digital image and was colored with Copics.  I added a border punched fence that I layered a strip of the pumpkin colored mini-dot paper before adding a black grosgrain ribbon.  Cardstock used were from SU in green galore and basic black.  The cat is from Sizzix and was punched from black paper, as was the fence border.

For more information on this card, please check out my blog at Heavensent For You

We hope to see you participate in our October Challenge, the theme of which is HALLOWEEN.  Donna has 2 specific paper packs geared just for this holiday, so be sure to check out the store.

I hope you've enjoyed my little inspirational post.

Bearly Mine Designs - Design Team Call May 2014

We have had a number of Design Team members leave and thought we need 3-4 more Design Team members.

We are a friendly bunch and talk via a closed Blogger Admin Blog and a Facebook page. It is not a requirement to be part of the Design Team to be on Facebook but if you want a speedy reply to a question or like a daily natter that’s the place to be!!!

What are the commitments for the Design Team?
  • Bearly Mine Designs has a monthly challenge so you need to make a card/creation for that using Bearly Mine Designs digital papers. The challenge starts on the 1st of the month. Your card/creation needs to be posted onto the closed Admin Blog at least 2-3 days before the start of the challenge so that the Design Team Leader can get the challenge post ready.  Your card/creation needs to go "live" on your own blog on 1st of the month
  • There is also a rota so that every two days an inspiration card goes on the blog and you will be required to make a card for that. For this card you can make whatever you want as long as you use Bearly Mine digital papers. You will be required to do your own post and schedule it to go “live” on the Bearly Mine Design Challenge Blog on your day each month along with it going "live" on your own blog on the same day
  • This means that you are required to make two cards per month as part of the Design Team
  • In respect of the Challenge Blog there is a rota for comments. You will be allocated two numbers and you will need to comment on all cards/creations with those numbers. Commenting is a very important part of the Design Team as it gives everyone that enters a boost to see that their card/creation has been looked at
  • Random.org picks the main winner of the challenge but the Design Team pick their Top 3. You will need to put your Top 3 into the Admin Blog in a timely fashion so that the results can be counted and entered into the post going “live” for the next challenge on the 1st of the month
  • If there are any Bearly Mine Designs new sets to be released/ sales/special offers you will need to promote these on your blog and Facebook page (if you have one).

What will you get in return for being part of the Bearly Mine Design Team?
  • You will get to work with some stunning papers designed by Donna at Bearly Mine Designs
  • You will get to pick 4 sets initially to use and you can pick these from the Bearly Mine Designs Shop and just let us know which ones you want. We do this as everyone has different styles of cards/creations so we leave it to you to decide which papers would work best for you/what you would get most use out of
  • Whilst you are on the Design Team you will automatically receive any new digital paper sets that come out from Bearly Mine Designs
  • You will be part of a wonderful and friendly Design Team that is here for each other.
After reading the above would you like be a new member of the Bearly Mine Designs Design Team?

If the answer is “YES” please link one of your favourite cards/creations to the Inlinkz below and do a post on your blog about the Design Team Call explaining why you would like to join the Design Team.

It is important that we have an e-mail address to contact you.  If this is not in plain sight on your blog please e-mail me with an e-mail address.

The Design Team call will be open for two weeks from Saturday 10 May 2014 and ending on Friday 23 May 2014.

All being well we will be in contact with those that apply from Monday 26 May 2014 onwards.

We would not expect new Design Team members to make a card/creation for the challenge on 1 June 2014 but if you wanted to you could.

An Inspiration Post would be appreciated in June 2014 and some existing Design Team Members could swap dates to facilitate this.

We are a very friendly bunch of crafters!!!

If you have any questions before applying please contact me at this e-mail address.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Kym, Bearly Mine Designs Team Leader

Sneak Peek and a little Inspiration

Good Morning, I'm here showing you a couple cards I made for some inspiration using some of my Digi sets, only this time I'm giving you a couple sneak peeks for a new Digi set coming out at the end of March....this one focuses on Mixed Media, so for those of you that would like to do some mixed media but don't have the supplies to do so, here is a collection of papers all ready done for you, showing some texture, some distressed stamps, and yes even some flowers.

Both cards show one of the new papers in the set, and I've used a couple of Sherri Baldy's bestie stamps colored with copics in similar colors to the papers....they complement each other so well. The flowers on my second card were made by me using scrapbooking flowers from I Am Roses, some yellow stamens and a bit of coloring from reinkers on them.

I hope these new papers are just the thing you're looking for. I know I really enjoyed using them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Don't forget to stop by every couple of days for more inspiration here on the blog and also don't forget to enter our monthly challenge. ONE FOR THE GIRLS

Thanks for stopping by

~hugs~
